Taroudante is one of the imperial cities of Morocco, a land very rich in agriculture and craftsmanship, which are the main activities of the city in addition to tourism. The city’s architecture resembles a miniature Marrakech with its copper colors, and its walls surrounding the city date back several centuries.

Our excursion starts early in the morning (8:30 am) with pick-up from your hotel or residence. We take the road to Taroudant, also known as “mini Marrakech” because of its surrounding ramparts. In the 1960s, the Saadi dynasty chose Taroudant as the capital before moving to Marrakech. Today, the city is almost entirely within its walls, unlike Marrakech, and is famous for its local craftsmanship and carpets.

On the way to Taroudant, we stop to take a photo of goats climbing argan trees. After that, we visit the old Medina of Taroudant, also known as “little Marrakech.” Once the tour is finished, we continue our journey to a welcoming Berber village located 30 km from Taroudant. There, we enjoy a delicious lunch and visit the palm oasis. Why not take a lovely donkey ride along the oasis and visit the kasbah where the movie “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” was filmed in the 1950s.

We return to the hotel around 17h  after a fulfilling and enriching day.
